Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to swing the axe and will offload Wes Brown, Jonny Evans, Darron Gibson, Michael Owen, Owen Hargreaves, Michael Carrick and Danny Welbeck and he has made some fairly astronomical plans for additions to his Old Trafford squad including a move for Palermo youngster Javier Pastore. The Scot is also so furious with the inept displays from Bebe and Gabriel Obertan against Crawley Town that he will also sell them off this summer.

Liverpool are chasing Celtic defender Emilio Izaguirre who was excellent in yesterday’s Old Firm derby. Apparently Kenny Dalglish sees the Honduras international as the ideal left back signing which has been something of a problem position at Anfield.

Glen Johnson is currently playing in that spot and the likes of Paul Konchesky and Emiliano Insua have tried and failed to impress and the Merseyside club also has Fabio Aurelio as effective back up for the left sided role. Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez may have a new strike partner as the club is also linked with a move to for Napoli front man Ezequiel Lavezzi and West Brom winger Chris Brunt.

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has been linked with a move to his former stamping ground at Roma following the resignation of former Blues boss Claudio Ranieri, there is also some speculation that Jose Mourinho may come back to Stamford Bridge!

Arsenal are chasing French international keeper Hugo Lloris as Arsene Wenger is seemingly not happy with keeping quartet Manuel Almunia, Lukasz Fabianski, Vito Mannone and Wojciech Szczesny. The Gunners may also be ready to sell Nicklas Bendtner and Carlos Vela and Denilson is apparently linked with a move away from the club and has the rest of the season to prove himself.

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is looking to spend big this summer, if Mike Ashley lets him. He wants to sign Tottenham playmaker Niko Kranjar and is also linked with moves for fellow Spurs men Roman Pavlyuchenko and David Bentley. He also wants to nab West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie. His pursuit for an Andy Carroll replacement has also led him to interest in West Ham forward Carlton Cole.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is ready to offer Jonathan Woodgate a new contract and is looking to keep hold of Luka Modric and has stated he would not sell the Croatian for £100m and he will also fight off summer interest in Gareth Bale, Rafael Van der Vaart, Peter Crouch and indeed any member of his successful squad as he believes to continue the club’s progression they must not sell any of their top talent.
