Real Madrid midfielder Kaka is looking to move back to AC Milan this summer instead of making a lucrative move to England.
The Brazilian has struggled with form and fitness since making a £58million move to the Bernabeu from Milan 18 months ago and the La Liga giants are willing to listen to offers.
Madrid manager Jose Mourinho was happy to give the Brazilian a chance to resurrect his career but is prepared to listen to offers to remove him from the wage bill and bring in other players.
Manchester City and Chelsea were favourites to land the 28-year-old but Kaka’s father and agent, Bosco Leite, says he wants to move back to Italy.
“My son back to AC Milan? You must ask (chief executive, Adriano) Galliani,” Leite told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“If there are possibilities to do it? Let’s see what happens.”
AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri also hinted he would be interested in bringing Kaka back to the San Siro.
“The market is closed, this will be discussed for next summer,” he said.
