Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, who is currently third in the Emirates pecking order with Robin Van Persie and Marouane Chamak ahead of him, has been linked with a move to Tottenham. Harry Redknapp is not to keen on his current quartet of misfiring strikers and wants the Danish international.

Arsenal also have injury concerns ahead of the big up coming matches with Cesc Fabregas, Robin Van Persie, Thomas Vermaelen and Theo Walcott all suffering knocks.

Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Peter Crouch have all struggled to find the net in Premier League action and that has left midfielders likes Rafael Van der Vaart, Gareth Bale, Aaron Lennon and Luka Modric having to pitch in, which has led to Redknapp looking for new attacking options.

The White Hart Lane side are also reportedly battling Newcastle United for former Inter Milan striker Adriano. Alan Pardew is hoping to add more firepower to an attacking line that currently has the average talents of Leon Best, Peter Lovenkrands, Shola Ameobi, Shefki Kuqi and Nile Ranger to count on. There is also a fear that impressive Spaniard Jose Enqrique may flee to AC Milan.

Liverpool are hoping to sign Barcelona youngster Bojan on a loan deal and the Anfield side has also been linked with a move for Reading striker Shane Long which is a little bizarre to say the least. Current back ups to Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll include the very average David N’Gog, the hard working Dutch international Dirk Kuyt, Milan Jovanovic and Joe Cole.

Manchester United want to sign Borussia Dortmund centre back Neven Subotic as the Old Trafford sides looks to strengthen their back line. Sir Alex Ferguson may be dreaming of lining up a player dubbed the “New Vidic” alongside Nemanja Vidic. Rio Ferdinand is getting on a bit and Jonny Evans is very low on confidence after some very shaky performances. Chris Smalling has though been very solid.

Manchester City will attempt to use Emmanuel Adebayor to help land Kaka from Real Madrid they may also elect to sell Micah Richards with Tottenham favourites to add the England man to a lengthening defensive list that includes Jonathan Woodgate, Ledley King, Bongani Khumalo, Younes Kaboul, Sebastien Bassong and William Gallas. However perhaps Richards would be a replacement for the seemingly exit bound right back Alan Hutton?

Talking of centre backs Birmingham City’s Roger Johnson insists he wants to stay at the club so he can enjoy the club’s Europa League antics next season. Benni McCarthy is apparently on his way to Charlton, but only if he loses a few pounds first.
