Fulham and Stoke City are considering moves for Birmingham City’s defender Stephen Carr according to Sky Sports.
The 34-year-old has been in excellent form this season and was unlucky not to be given the man-of-the-match award in the Carling Cup win over Arsenal.
The former Tottenham and Newcastle United player, who has already made one retirement comeback, has just over a year left on his current deal.
Carr has virtually played in every game this season and his form has not gone unnoticed by rivals.
Fulham and Stoke are both in the market for a right-back and see Carr as an ideal short-term option.
Birmingham manager Alex McLeish does not want to lose his skipper as he builds for European football next season, but if Birmingham fail to avoid relegation he may have no choice but to sell the veteran.
