England manager Fabio Capello will hand Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere his third England cap against Wales after announcing the teenager is the best youngster in the world.
The 19-year-old has been a key player for the Gunners this season and will be a prominent figure in his side’s push for a first Premier League title in seven years.
Capello says his performances against Barcelona in the Champions League announced the playmaker to the world and the Italian recognises Wilshere’s leadership qualities.
“Wilshere, after the game against Barcelona, he has arrived,” Capello said.
“He has arrived. You can understand the value of that sort of performance.
“As a young player, I think he is at the top, not only in England but Europe and the world. Because he is good, because he plays without fear, and with confidence.
“Also for someone so young, he is a leader. It is incredible,” he added.
“I never saw someone so young be a leader on the pitch. It is incredible.
“He is a leader but it (being England captain) will be probably the choice of another manager.”
