Anfield outfit plan Serie A raid.
Liverpool are reportedly keen on Roma winger Jeremy Menez and will look to make an offer for the French international this summer according to Italian sources. The 23 year old wide man has fallen out of favour with the club’s supporters and has made it abundantly clear he will be open to a move away from the Stadio Olimpico.
Director of Football Damien Comolli is looking to bring in new creative attacking options to Liverpool and has been monitoring the former Monaco man for some time and knows the player well due to his links with the French international set up. The £10m rated Roma man has only one year left on his contract and the Serie A side will not want to lose Menez for nothing so will happily accept any offer that meets their valuation.
Kenny Dalglish hopes to bring in wingers who can help provide the ammunition for new strikers Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll and is not happy with his current wide options. Maxi and Dirk Kuyt are the first choice starters on either wing but the Anfield boss wants to bring in new additions to beef up his attack.
There has been much speculation that fellow wide men Joe Cole and Milan Jovanovic may be sold this summer to make way for new signings and Comolli will hope that Menez is keen for a new challenge in the Premier League after three seasons at Roma.
