Tottenham Hotspur’s fine campaign have seen them recognised with two nominations for Gareth Bale and Rafael van der Vaart.
Scott Parker and Charlie Adam have both been acknowledges for fine season’s despite their side’s struggling to avoid relegation.
The big surprise is the omission of Manchester United’s Nani, but Nemanja Vidic will represent the Old Trafford club.
The nominees are selected by all their fellow professionals from the Premier League and Football League. The winner will be announce on April 17.

The Argentine hit-man not suffered from second season syndrome. He has scored 19 goals in 27 Premier League games and is evidence of a striker in supreme form.
The Welsh wizard has enjoyed such an incredible campaign sending shockwaves not just through the Premier League but the whole of Europe with his two performances against Inter Milan.
Rafael van der Vaart
Would have been a certainty if injury had not disrupted his early season form. Possibly been the signing of the season after his move from Real Madrid, helping Tottenham to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Has has been nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award along with the Young Player of the Year prize. The Frenchman has faded a little but his wonderful early season performances should not be forgotten.
Being made captain means he is now the leader as well as the rock at the back for United. He has won the award before and few would begrudge him a second gong after another fine season.
Charlie Adam has seen his star rise to incredible heights after a brilliant debut season in the Premier League with Blackpool. One thing is for certain, he will not be playing Championship football next season.
Has at times single-handledly won games for West Ham. He will play a huge role in keeping his team in the Premier League. No player in the league can claim to be as important to their club as Parker.
