Old Trafford boss ready to bid for Parkhead youngster.
Manchester United are preparing a move to sign Celtic’s highly rated midfielder Biram Kayal as Sir Alex Ferguson looks to freshen up his squad with youthful new additions this summer. Sir Alex Ferguson has sent scouts to monitor the Israeli’s SPL performances and has been impressed with reports he has received and is reportedly ready to make an offer for the 22 year old.
Kayal arrived at Parkhead in July of last year and has been an instant success, with his tireless running and tenacious tackling the Celtic faithful have reacted warmly to the former Maccabi Haifa youngster’s speedy transition to Scottish football.
Though the central midfielder signed a four year deal, regardless of his affection for his Glasgow club, would be tempted by a move to the Premier League table toppers.
Biram Kayal is a box to box midfielder who offers Ferguson the ability to offer a determined tackler, something the Old Trafford club could well do with given that Owen Hargreaves is unlikely to be offered a new contract, and also the ability to link midfield and attack with his incisive passing.
Though Ferguson has the likes of Darren Fletcher, Michael Carrick and Anderson to fill the central midfield position Kayal would offer something different and given the likely exit of Hargreaves and the fact that Paul Scholes is nearing the end of his glittering career, a move for the promising young Israeli international would appear to be a wise one.
