Stamford Bridge boss ready to spend big this summer.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to back under fire Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti in the summer transfer window. The Stamford Bridge boss has outlined his spending plans and will reportedly be backed financially as the West London club looks to freshen up a decidedly ageing squad.
Ancelotti will look to sign Santos youngster Neymar who is considered one of the most sought after young players at the present time and the teenage Brazilian has stated that he would be open to a move to the Premier League side and a valuation of £28m has been placed on the 19 year old’s head, such is his apparent potential.
The young attacker netted twice for Brazil against Scotland last month and netted a hefty 42 goals for Santos last term, form that has led to reported interest from Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez is another in form South American and the Chilean winger is seen by Ancelotti as a player who could be a long term successor to current wide options at Chelsea. Florent Malouda has been strongly linked with a move back to France and Nicolas Anelka, who has been playing out wide up front, at 32 may have his best days behind him.
22 year old Sanchez has been a big success in Italy and has been a big part of the reason that veteran striker Antonio Di Natale was top scorer in Serie A last term and is current top scorer this term, due in no small part to the ammunition the tricky winger provides. The former River Plate man also has an eye for goal himself, netting 12 times this season so thus far.
The third player that Ancelotti will look to lure to the reigning Premier League champions is Ajax right back Gregory van der Wiel. Currently Branislav Ivanovic is the first choice player in the position but the young Dutch international is still very much a player the Chelsea boss wants to bring in.
Roman Abramovich is keen to flex his financial muscle and is ready to follow up the big January signings of David Luiz and Fernando Torres with further big name signings.
