Inter Milan Star Wesley Sneijder Believes Man United are a “Beautiful Club” But is Happy In Milan

Old Trafford target distances himself from move.

Wesley Sneijder admits he is more than happy at Inter Milan despite being flattered to be linked with Manchester United.

The Dutch midfield maestro is reported to be high on Sir Alex Ferguson’s list of summer transfer targets.

Sneijder was asked about a possible move to Old Trafford whilst speaking on Dutch radio.

“Do I want to go to United? It’s a beautiful club,” admitted Sneijder on Studio Ajax.

“But I’m fine in Milan and not at the point to think about it.” (Sky Sports)

Playmaker Wesley Sneijder appears very happy at Inter Milan and had Rafa Benitez still been at the club then perhaps a move away from the San Siro would’ve been a possibility but the arrival of Leonardo has given the club a boost and even though the Nerazzurri are unlikely to catch arch rivals AC Milan in the Serie A title race and they were thumped by Schalke in the Champions League, things still look far rosier now than during the first half of the season.

The Dutch international has had two solid seasons at the club and Sir Alex Ferguson has long been an admirer of the former Real Madrid and Ajax man and the Old Trafford boss is on the look out for a goalscoring midfielder and saw Sneijder as the ideal man for the job.

Ferguson may see the 26 year old as an ideal long term replacement for Paul Scholes as he looks to bring more creativity to the centre of his midfield. The likes of Anderson, Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher and Darron Gibson all offer options to the Scot but they do not offer much in the way of goals and that appears to be something the Man United manager is looking for.
