Anfield boss keen on Sevilla wide man.
Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Sevilla winger Jesus Navas and hope to persuade the Spanish international to leave the La Liga side he has represented since the age of 15. The talented right winger, who has also on occasion been used on the left, is apparently ready to leave the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuan and Kenny Dalglish is interested in bringing the 25 year old to Anfield this summer.
Sportingo report that Liverpool are ready to make a £20m offer for Navas who they see as an ideal player to help provide ammunition for January signings Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll. Sevilla are likely to miss out on Champions League football after securing top four finishes in three out of the previous four campaigns and that may lead the La Liga side into considering offers for their prized assets.
Though clearly Liverpool are also very likely to finish outside of the Champions League spots the Merseyside club will attempt to persuade Navas that they have what it takes to break back into the top four.
Having racked up over 300 appearances for Sevilla, Jesus Navas may feel the time is right for a new challenge and though he is reportedly always brushed off transfer talk due to apparent homesickness issues, Dalglish and director of football Damien Comolli will apparently attempt to bring the winger to Liverpool.
Perhaps the fact that his fellow Spanish international Pepe Reina is at the club would help persuade Navas to make the move to the Premier League?
