A New Film About Liverpool’s 2005 Champions League Success

Anfield fans can remember ‘that’ night in Istanbul again in a powerful new drama.

A new film based around Liverpool’s famous 2005 Champions League success is set to be released.

Will, records an orphan’s journey across Europe to get to Istanbul to watch the final.

Liverpool famously came back from 3-0 down at half-time against Serie A giants AC Milan to level the game, then win on penalties.

Will, which stars Bob Hoskins, is not the first film to be set around this occasion.

Fifteen Minutes That Shook The World was released in 2009 and is a fictional and fantastical account of half-time in the Liverpool changing room.

The film includes cameos from Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher while portraying Sir Alex Ferguson as a whisky-sozzled drunk and Manchester United stalwart Gary Neville as a squeaky-voiced rat living in the sewers.
