Bernabeu striker wants to stay in Spain despite interest from Emirates club.
Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema will not be leaving Spain for the Premier League according to his agent Karim Djaziri.
The 23-year-old has struggled to hold down a first-team place since moving to Madrid for £30million from Lyon in 2009.
But the French international has enjoyed his best season so far scoring 13 goals in 18 starts but with teasm-mate Gonzalo Higuain recovered from injury he faces more time on the bench.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been a long-term admirer of Benzema and reports in the Spanish media suggest he was ready to table an offer.
But Benzema’s representative says his charge is content in Madrid and is not looking to leave the Spanish capital.
“At no stage has Karim Benzema thought about leaving Madrid,” Djaziri said in AS.
“He has not asked me to negotiate with any club.
“The reports (about him leaving) are false. Karim only wants to continue with Real Madrid and is confirming that with his recent good performances.”
