Villa Park hero is the subject of interest from both White Hart Lane and Anfield.
Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race to sign Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Friedel this summer.
The 39-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and is unlikely to sign a new deal with the Midlands club.
The American has held talks with Villa, who are keen to keep the veteran, but is likely to move for a fresh challenge.
Friedel will make a decision after the final game of the season, against Liverpool, with the Reds and Tottenham his most likely destination.
He spent three years at Anfield, serving as understudy to David James before moving to Blackburn in 2000.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish wants him as back-up to Pepe Reina, who himself could be leaving Merseyside.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is on the look out for a top goalkeeper after a string of high profile errors from Heurelho Gomes.
Redknapp is also monitoring West Ham keeper Robert Green, who is available on a free transfer .
Friedel’s agent Tony McGill refused to confirm the interest of any of the Premier League clubs – insisting he would look at his options next week.
“I will be holding talks with Brad next week, once the season has finished and we will then go over his options” McGill told Sky Sports.
“At the moment he is focused on Villa’s final game, but also the birth of his next child which is imminent.
“I have read the newspaper speculation, but we are not going to talk about any clubs until the season has finished.”
