Busy summer ahead of transfer activity ahead for Old Trafford boss who has already stated his intention to make forays into the transfer market. Here’s a helpful guide to those who may or may not be on his summer wish-list.
This summer could see a great deal of upheaval at Old Trafford as Sir Alex Ferguson looks to bring in new signings, having already confirmed his intention to bring in at least three additions, whilst also considering the futures of some of his under performing squad players and those nearing the end of their glittering careers.
With Edwin van der Sar and Gary Neville already announcing their retirements and with Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs both getting closer to calling time on their time at Man United there is much speculation about who will be brought in to freshen up the squad.
Add to that the fact that Michael Owen and Owen Hargreaves will be out of contract this summer, and unlikely to be handed new deals, along with talk that the likes of Wes Brown, Gabriel Obertan, Federico Macheda and Darron Gibson may be offloaded and all in all it could be a busy time for Ferguson.
Here are the club’s top ten summer targets.
