Old Lady of Italian football dumps failing coach.
Juventus coach Luigi Del Neri has been sacked and will leave after Sunday’s final game of the season.
“The club told me of their decision during the week,” Del Neri told a news conference ahead of facing Napoli.
Juventus have suffered a second straight poor season and are currently seventh in Serie A with only an outside chance of a Europa League League spot.

As well as Conte one may want to put a few Euro on Claudio Ranieri being one of the favourites to take over at the Turin outfit. It was only a matter of time before Luigi Delneri was axed, the journeyman coach was sacked. This was the 60 year old’s sixth Serie A appointment in seven years and he failed to make any headway as Bianconeri boss this season.
Having been given a fair wad of cash to bring in top quality talent but looks set to seal another seventh placed finish, outside the European qualification spots this term. The timing of the sacking is odd however as Juventus are chasing a win in their final game in the hope that Roma lose at doomed Sampdoria and sacking your manager on the eve of such a match may tend to make the boss not really give a damn.
