Ashley Young Snubs Liverpool To Join Rivals In £15m Move

Villa Park star rejects move to Anfield for Old Trafford.

Aston Villa winger Ashley Young has rejected the chance to join Liverpool in favour of a move to Manchester United.

The Daily Mirror reports the Red Devils have agreed a £15million fee that will see the 25-year-old head to Old Trafford.

The England international was the subject of interest from Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish who is searching for a top-class winger to provide more width to his side.

The Scot is likely to turn his attention to Young’s Villa team-mate Stewart Downing, who said this week he will not be signing a new deal at Villa Park.

Young’s move will not the only new face at Old Trafford with manager Sir Al;ex Ferguson promising to sign at least three big names.

Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David de Gea is on the verge of completing an £18million move.

The arrival of Young to United could spark the exit of Nani who has attracted interest from Inter Milan.
