Anfield hero praises Nou Camp stars but admits he is happy where he is.
Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has committed his future to Liverpool and says he never wanted to leave in the first place.
The 28-year-old has been strongly linked with moves away from Anfield over the last 12 months including a controversial switch to fierce rivals Manchester United.
The Spain international was even the subject of £20million bid from Arsenal last summer but the Liverpool board rejected any approach.
Reina insists he is now extremely happy on Merseyside since manager Kenny Dalglish took the reins and he is already planning for next season.
He also was full of praise for Barcelona and admits his side have a long way to go to catch up to the La Liga and European champions.
“I am happy at Liverpool and so are my family,” Reina told Radio MARCA. “I’ve never wanted to go.
“It is true that we have improved a lot this year but we have to keep growing.”
“They’re (Barcelona) the best team I’ve seen in my life. Xavi and [Andres] Iniesta are the best players in their position in the world. They are a world leaders in every sense.
“Fortunately they are Spanish. They’re the two best players in the world at giving the final pass.”
