Stamford Bridge club press on with transfers despite no manager.
Chelsea have made a £9million bid for Racing Genk winger Kevin de Bruyne after having their initial offer rejected.
The Blues’ £5.3million offer was immediately thrown out by the Belgian club last week but are confident the new deal will reach their valuation of the 19-year-old.
Genk realise they will lose the Belgium international but are hoping to get the left-winger back on-loan for next season, according to the Metro.
Chelsea want De Bruyne to link up with fellow Belgium starlet Romelu Lukaku from Anderlecht, who are also interested in Genk’s teenager.
Initail reports suggested Blues owner Roman Abramovich would buy both stars and loan De Bruyne to Anderlecht for two seasons.
Lukaku has allegedly said that it’d be ‘a dream’ to play for the Blues, but has put any transfer talk on hold while he studies for his college exams.
