Anfield hero believes his team could win the league next season.
Liverpool striker Luis Suarez insists his side could win the Premier League next season if they continue their good form.
The 24-year-old only arrived in Merseyide in January from Ajax for £22million but played a huge role in turning around the Reds’ fortunes in the last campaign.
The Uruguayan spearheaded manager’s Kenny Dalglish push for European football, they just missed out but bagged four goals and three assists in 12 league starts.
Liverpool lost only five league games under Dalglish, and Suarez says his team-mates will have to replicate that form to be title contenders.
“I think the form we have shown over the second half of the season bodes well,” Suarez told LFC Weekly.
“We’ve been playing well and I think we’ve been getting into the type of form that we know we’ll have to keep up for a whole season if we want to be title contenders.
“This is something we’re optimistic about for next season and if we can hit the ground running and maintain the good form then I think we’ve got a good chance of doing well.”
