St Andrew’s board want a replacement quickly.
Birmingham City’s acting chairman Peter Pannu insists they will replace Alex McLeish as quickly as possible.
The Blues face a tough task of trying to return to the Premier League at the first attempt as well as embarking on a Europa League adventure and want a new man to oversee the changes needed.
McLeish resigned last Sunday and is now favourite to become the manager of bitter rivals Aston Villa.
”I am discussing the situation with (owner) Carson Yeung and we hope to install the new man as soon as possible,” Pannu said.
”There are at least six (candidates) on the radar.”
Here are the men in the frame.
