Bloomfield Road star looks to be heading to Anfield.
Liverpool will sit open talks tomorrow with Blackpool regarding the sale of captain Charlie Adam to Anfield.
The 25-year-old was a January transfer target of Reds boss Kenny Dalglish but the Seasiders decided to keep their talisman to try and stave off relegation.
A £10million bid has now been submitted and Liverpool’s director of football, Damien Comolli, will meet Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston to discuss the transfer, according to the Blackpool Gazette.
Adam is said to be keen on the move as he wants to continue playing Premier League football following the Tangerines’ descent into the Championship.
Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are still rumoured to be interested in signing the Scotland international, who has one-year left on his current deal.
Liverpool have made their move after demanding £13.5million for midfielder Raul Meireles from Juventus.
The Old Lady wanted to swap the Portuguese playmaker for Felipe Melo but Dalglish is understood to have wanted the money to buy Adam.
Melo, a target for Arsenal, was also unhappy about the prospect of being used as a makeweight.
“Let us say that Juve are not respecting me, or at least that’s the impression I get,” he told the Daily Mirror.
“I’m not just anyone. I’m not a bargaining chip to be used.”
