Emirates club yet to make bid.
Lille striker Gervinho has set his heart on a move to Arsenal according to his club president Michel Seydoux.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to North London but as of yet no formal bid has been made by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
Reports suggest Arsenal are only willing to bid as high as £10.5million but Lille are holding out for £12million.
But the Ligue 1 champions appear resigned to losing the Ivory Coast international this summer.
“I have spoken with Gervinho and he wants to play for Arsenal next season,” Seydoux told RMC. “This is clear but now we must get an agreement between the two clubs.
“We have maintained contact but still the Londoners have not presented us with a formal offer.
“Negotiations are ongoing but Gervinho has demanded a solution to the situation soon.”
But the president has reiterated his desire to keep Belgium winger Eden Hazard for his side’s assault on the Champions League.
“Even if big money is offered, my answer will still be the same,” Seydoux added. “Eden stays here.
“They say things can change very quickly in football, but at Lille we keep our promises.”
