Anfield and White Hart Lane sides chase young Spanish international.
Tottenham face competition from Liverpool for Barcelona striker Bojan Krkic.
The People says Tottenham chief Harry Redknapp has competition from the Premier League and Europe – with Liverpool and AS Roma keeping tabs on the £14million-rated Nou Camp youngster.
Kop boss Kenny Dalglish would also be interested if Bojan became available, although the fee Barcelona would demand could be a problem at Anfield.
Roma’s new coach Luis Enrique is another big fan and has cash to spend after a recent takeover at the club.
Bojan Krkic seems destined to leave Barcelona this summer as Pep Guardiola looks to bring in extra funds to help finance big money additions and the young Spanish striker looks for first team football. The pint sized starlet has tried in vain to secure a regular spot in the Nou Camp side’s starting eleven for four seasons and now is the right time to try to find a new challenge.
Roma had seemed for some weeks the most likely destination for the speedy attacker but now the news on the grapevine suggests that Bojan may well prefer a move to the Premier League. Tottenham did of course take sign Giovani dos Santos from the Catalan side a few years back and that experience may not be a great advert for a move to White Hart Lane as Harry Redknapp pretty much ignores the Mexican international.
Even though Bojan has spent most of his time at Barcelona on the bench he has still netted 41 times and has shown that he has the potential to do well elsewhere and Liverpool’s director of football Damien Comolli is keen to bring the striker to Anfield where he can join fellow Spaniards Pepe Reina, Daniel Ayala and his former Under 17 team-mate Daniel Pacheco.
Liverpool probably look to Bojan to offer as an alternative attacking option to the first choice pairing of Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll and given that the Merseyside club doesn’t have many other options as Dutchman Dirk Kuyt is usually used out wide and David N’Gog shows no signs of progression.
Tottenham may however have more of a need to sign the Bojan given that the club’s quartet, Peter Crouch, Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko all failed to inspire Harry Redknapp’s confidence last term, with all four struggling for form, especially in Premier League action.
A move to the North London club may attract the 20 year old who can also play out wide if needed.
