Stamford Bridge boss keen on Emirates Stadium star.
Sky Sports sources understand Chelsea have made an enquiry for unsettled Arsenal ace Samir Nasri.
Nasri’s future at Arsenal has been the subject of intense speculation this summer with the Frenchman yet to agree a new deal at the Emirates Stadium.
The skilful attacker is in the final 12 months of his contract and is believed to have rejected Arsenal’s offer of a contract extension.
Chelsea have now entered the race for the 24-year-old with new Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas keen to bring Nasri to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have made creative reinforcements their top priority this summer and they have already seen a bid rejected for Tottenham’s Luka Modric rejected.
The Blues could now turn their attentions to Nasri with Spurs reluctant to lose Croatian schemer Modric.

It seems a queue is forming for the services of Arsenal star Samir Nasri and Chelsea join Man United and Man City in their pursuit of the 24 year old who appears to be moving ever closer to the Emirates Stadium exit. Arsene Wenger has attempted to tie the French international down to a new contract but the 24 year old appears to be reticent to sign on the dotted line.
Some sources state that Chelsea are set to make an offer of £20m for Nasri but Arsene Wenger steadfastly refuses to consider offers from Premier League rivals and if possible would much rather sell the Gunners man abroad.
Nasri was arguably one of the club’s top performers last term, alongside Robin Van Persie and Jack Wilshere, but with only 12 months left on his current contract would be free to leave for nothing next summer, a situation that Wenger does not want to see occur having fallen victim to a similar scenario when the club lost Mathieu Flamini to AC Milan for nothing.
Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has been promised significant funds to help freshen up his Stamford Bridge squad and one can see why the Blues boss would be keen on Nasri who last term arguably his peak, netting 15 goals and having a hand in many others despite Arsenal struggling for form last season.
Wenger has already lost Gael Clichy to Man City and faces the possible departure of skipper Cesc Fabregas who once again is being strongly linked with a return to Barcelona.
Villas-Boas is reportedly ready to offload some of his current squad to make way for new arrivals and the likes of Nicolas Anelka, Florent Malouda, Jose Bosingwa, Yossi Benayoun, Salomon Kalou, Paulo Ferriera and even Didier Drogba, could well be sacrificed this summer.
