San Siro side keen on Old Trafford winger.
Inter Milan are reportedly willing to sell Wesley Sneijder to Man United but the San Siro side will demand Portuguese winger Nani as part of any deal to bring the Dutchman to Old Trafford.
Sir Alex Ferguson is known to be keen on signing the 27 year old attacking midfielder and may well consider offering Nani in part exchange as he may well be more open to such a departure following the signing of Aston Villa winger Ashley Young.
Nani missed out on a spot in the Champions League Final starting eleven and though the former Sporting Lisbon man finished last term as Premier League’s leading assist maker could well be deemed an expendable asset as Ferguson pushes to complete a move to sign Sneijder who is now thought to be the Scot’s number one target.
Man United have already spent upwards of £50m to bring in Young, Phil Jones and David de Gea and may feel that a deal to sign Sneijder that involves a player swap may be a more financial viable option, not least because the former Real Madrid and Ajax star will also demand a salary said to be in the region of £200k a week.
The return to fitness of Luis Antonio Valencia and the aforementioned capture of Young would leave Ferguson with two top notch starting options on the wings as well as having Ryan Giggs, Ji Sung Park and Gabriel Obertan as other alternative wide options and could therefore leave the club able to use Nani in part exchange for Sneijder.
New Inter Milan boss Gian Piero Gasperini is keen to put his stamp on the Nerazzurri and if pressed on the matter may well elect to let Sneijder leave. The Serie A side has already completed deals to bring Luc Castaignos from Feyenoord, Ricardo Alvarez from Velez Sarsfield and keeper Emiliano Viviano from Bologna.
