Anfield boss predicts new arrivals.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has promised fans that more new faces will arrive at Anfield this summer while some current squad members will be sold.
The Reds have been linked with a renewed bid for Aston Villa winger Stewart Downing but could face competition from Arsenal.
The Midlands club rejected a £15million offer the England international but are holding out for £19million.
So far Liverpool have only signed Charlie Adam from Blackpool and Sunderland’s Jordan Henderson for a combined total of £24million.
Moves for Birmingham City’s Scott Dann and either Everton’s Leighton Baines or Jose Enrique from Newcastle have also been mentioned.
But it is likely a number of fringe players will also be sold this summer. Paul Konchesky, Raul Meireles and Joe Cole could all be offloaded soon.
“We are happy with the business we have done so far,” said Dalglish.
“Hopefully we will do some more business before the window closes but I’m not going to give names because that’s disrespectful.
“We are looking to bring other players in and that could mean we expect some to leave.
“That’s football but we have a while to go yet and we’ll see what we can do.”
