Anfield star could be on his way to Italy.
Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani is wanted by Italian side Fiorentina but will have to agree to a £13million deal.
The Serie A side are keen on bringing the 27-year-old back to Italy, after he spent last season on-loan at Juventus.
But the Reds either want the Italy international to play at Anfield or he will be sold, having only three years left on his contract.
Aquliani joined Liverpool in 2009 for £17million, and the Merseysiders want to recoup the majority of that deal.
He has suffered with injury problems and is known to want to move back to Italy, with AC Milan and Juventus also interested in him.
Fiorentina winger Valon Behrami hopes to see Alberto Aquilani join the Serie A outfit this summer.
“Aquilani is the right player to bring back the enthusiasm of the Fiorentina fans,” said Behrami to Corriere dello Sport. “He would be very useful to the team.
“Aquilani has great quality.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool are said to be close to clinching a deal for Newcastle United left-back Jose Enrique in a £12million, including add-ons, deal.
