David De Gea (Man United)

With the pressure of filling the sizable void left by the retired Edwin van der Sar, David De Gea is set for a big season. Signed for a reported £18 million from Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid, the 20-year-old Spaniard arrives at Old Trafford with a sizable reputation for his tender age. Although Atletico endured a disappointing campaign last term, finishing in seventh place, De Gea won many plaudits for his reliable shot-stopping and reflexes, prompting Sir Alex Ferguson to follow up his long term interest in the young stopper. It remains to be seen if the pressure of replacing the retired Van der Sar will be too much too soon for De Gea, but he undoubtedly has the potential to become a top quality goalkeeper in the near future.
