Anfield back up players linked with moves to Swansea City and Bolton Wanderers
Liverpool defender Daniel Ayala could be on his way to Premier League newcomers Swansea City.
Ahead of the Welsh clubs first match in the top flight against Manchester City on Monday night, chairman Huw Jenkins indicated that the 20-year old centre-half may find himself at the Liberty Stadium this summer.
“Yes, the defence is a part we are looking at. Whether that’s Daniel from Liverpool or another defender, no doubt Brendan over the next few days and before the transfer deadline will bring somebody in.”
Liverpool striker David Ngog is desperate to get a move to Bolton Wanderers.
The People says the French striker has met the Kop hierarchy to state his case as he feels his £4.5million valuation is costing him a chance of Premier League football.
Ngog knows that he is only a squad player behind Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll and he fancies a crack at joining Coyle’s attack and playing a lot more than he will on Merseyside.
The speedy forward is so keen that he may even be willing to take a pay cut just to get his career back on track after a frustrating time at the Kop.
It seems plans are underway for Kenny Dalglish to trim his squad following major investment in additions this year and this pair can probably allowed to leave without causing much of a problem to Liverpool’s first team plans.
Whilst Liverpool’s back four may appear a little threadbare it seems that Daniel Ayala may be allowed to join newly promoted Swansea City and such a move may become likelier still if the Anfield side brings in reinforcements over the coming weeks.
Gary Cahill, Per Mertesacker and Scott Dann have apparently all become major targets for the Merseyside club and as such the 20 year old Spaniard may well be let go. The burly centre back has spent last season on loan to Championship sides Hull City and Derby County and has thus far made just two Premier League starts, although it is worth noting that Liverpool won both those games 4-0.
David N’Gog has had far more first team football but has never really proved himself worthy of a regular spot in the Liverpool starting eleven and the Frenchman seems determined to find first team football. A move to Bolton is on the cards but one wonders if the former PSG man would be a regular first choice at the Reebok Stadium?
