Bundesliga side give Spanish veteran until noon tomorrow to make up his mind over potential move to Ewood Park.
German side Schalke have said Blackburn Rovers have made a bid for former Real Madrid striker Raul.
General manager Horst Heldt said Schalke had given the 34-year-old until 1200 BST on Wednesday to decide if he wants to move to Ewood Park.
However Heldt was later quoted by German paper Bild saying Raul did not want to join Blackburn.
“We don’t want to let him go but, if he wants to we will deal with it and enter negotiations,” Heldt had said earlier.
“There will be a prompt decision in the matter. We won’t give him away, we’ll see how the discussions go.”

Raul had a great season with Schalke last term proving that even in advancing years he still has the ability to play at the highest level. The former Real Madrid legend netted 19 times last term helping his Bundesliga side to an impressive Champions League semi-final finish.
The veteran Spaniard may well feel that a new challenge in the Premier League is too much of a temptation to turn down and by all accounts the Ewood Park side are ready to offer a huge hike in the striker’s current wages.
