Anfield boss ready to swing the axe.
Liverpool youngster Nabil El Zhar is set to join Levante.
The attacking midfielder has been released from his contract by the Reds.
Liverpool striker David Ngog is on the brink of signing for Bolton Wanderers.
The Liverpool Daily Post says the 22-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield this summer, and is now closing in on a £4m switch to the Reebok Stadium.
Liverpool fullback Philipp Degen could sign for QPR today.
Degen has endured a miserable spell on Merseyside after his move from Borussia Dortmund in 2008, making just 13 appearances in all competitions.
Rayo Vallecano are chasing Liverpool striker Dani Pacheco.
Onda Cero says the Primera Division new boys want to bring Pacheco back to Spain for the new season.
The Spain U21 international was outstanding in the U20 World Cup and Rayo hope to sign the youngster on-loan.
Kenny Dalglish is clearly keen to offload some of his squad and take away some wage demands off the balance sheet after bringing in five new signings this summer and arguably these four are probably players he can afford to let go, although in the case of Daniel Pacheco it would be wise for the Anfield side to only loan out the up and coming talent.
Nabil El Zhar joined Liverpool way back in 2006 and has reportedly now agreed terms with La Liga side Levante and the 24 year old will hope to secure the first team football he could’t get on Merseyside. The pint sized Moroccan international winger only managed two Premier League starts during his time at the club.
David N’Gog on the other hand has had a number of chances to prove himself and whilst the Frenchman has pitched in with a few goals here and there it does seem that the former PSG man is likely to have little or no chance of breaking through now that Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll are on the scene. Bolton are keen to bring in a striker who can make the same impact as Daniel Sturridge did last term, whether the Liverpool striker is the man to do that is debatable.
Philipp Degen may rank among the most pointless signings that Liverpool have ever made. Brought in by Rafa Benitez on a free the Swiss international has stated just three Premier League games and got sent off in one of those. Spent part of last season on loan at Stuttgart and will hope that he can resurrect his career at QPR.
Finally we come to the aforementioned Pacheco who has impressed in the reserve team and also in pre-season friendlies but seemingly unable to convince successive managers of his worth. The 20 year old Spaniard has been restricted to sub appearances but did impress whilst on loan at Norwich City last term. Newly promoted to the La Liga, Rayo Vallecano may be a good fit for the young striker.
There is much talk that the likes of Alberto Aquilani, Christian Poulsen, Maxi Rodriguez and even Raul Meireles may also be sold before the transfer window slams shut and boss Kenny Dalglish has not ruled out bringing in yet more new faces this month.
