A new series from CaughtOffside that could help you become a millionaire…or lead to imminent bankruptcy.
Every day we will put a bet on a game and keep a running total throughout the season. The bets we make may not be earth shattering, although on occasion we will of course go ‘chasing the big win’.
We’ve achieved two successes from three thus far and hope to get back on track with tonight’s game at Old Trafford. We plumped for a draw at the Reebok Stadium yesterday and came close at Bolton almost battled back but lost out 3-2 to Man City
Tonight we think that Man United will ease past Tottenham, who have a fair few issues to deal with, most prominently the loss of Luka Modric who has been ruled out of the game by Harry Redknapp because his “head’s not right”. Therefore we are opting for a win for the home side despite a one goal handicap.
So we got 7/5 at Ladbrokes on Man United still winning with a one goal handicap so basically we are punting on Sir Alex Ferguson’s side to win by two clear goals.
Our running total charts our success, all starting with that original £5 stake.
£5 on Man United beating Tottenham despite one goal handicap at 7/5
Day 1: FC Porto-Gil Vicente to produce more than 2.5 goals: WIN = £7.50
Day 2: Arsenal-Liverpool to result in more than booking 50pts: WIN = £10.75
Day 3: Bolton-Man City to end in a draw: LOSE = -£5
