Every day we will put a bet on a game and keep a running total throughout the season. The bets we make may not be earth shattering, although on occasion we will of course go ‘chasing the big win’.

Yesterday’s double was a success so that helped us make a nice £20 that pushed back into positive territory. For those who missed it, we bet on Tottenham/Man City and Man United/Arsenal exceeding 40 and 50 booking points respectively and exceed them they did.

We are wagering on the Barcelona-Villarreal match and are hoping that the Catalan side beat the Yellow Submarine, but not by too much. Having seen Real Madrid thrash Racing Santander 6-0 there is a temptation to go for an even bigger win but Villarreal are a very good side who are no walkovers.

So we got 9/2 at Blue Square on Barcelona beating Villarreal by exactly three goals.

Our running total charts our success, all starting with that original £5 stake.

Bet:

£5 on Barcelona beating Villarreal by exactly three goals 9/2

Running Total

£9.75 Based on wins minus original stake
