Skysports.com understands Tottenham have offered Jake Livermore to West Ham on a season-long loan as part of ongoing negotiations to sign Scott Parker.

England international Parker was not included in Sunday’s victory at Nottingham Forest as talks with Premier League Spurs continued.

But West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has said he wants to keep the former Charlton, Chelsea and Newcastle player.

Harry Redknapp watched as his side were torn apart by Man City yesterday and will be especially keen to add more steel and determination to his midfield and continues to track West Ham’s Scott Parker. Many sources state that a deal is almost complete but Upton Park boss Sam Allardyce is reticent about losing his mercurial performer but perhaps the offer of up and coming White Hart Lane starlet Jake Livermore will help sweeten the deal?

The 30 year old former Newcastle United, Charlton and Chelsea man was left out of West Ham’s squad that thrashed Nottingham Forest on the weekend but clearly is not injured as he was selected in Fabio Capello’s England squad for the up and coming Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Wales.

Redknapp was left frustrated by his sides woeful display against Man City and is very keen to bring in new additions having thus far barely spent £5m in the transfer market this summer whilst seemingly endlessly having to deal with speculation surrounding the future of Luka Modric.

If Allardyce truly does want to keep Parker then it seems unlikely that the addition of a relatively untested youngster, Jake Livermore has started just one Premier League match, would make much of a difference.

West Ham are seeking around £8m for the battling midfielder but apparently Tottenham are only ready to offer £5m and the youngster Livermore on loan.

Tottenham are also reportedly set to sell Wilson Palacios to Stoke City and Giovani dos Santos looks set to move to La Liga whilst Alan Hutton is high up on Aston Villa’s wish-list.
