Loftus Road skipper attempts to learn about his new boss.
Queens Park Rangers captain Joey Barton was caught researching his new manager Neil Warnock and at the same time proving he can actually read.
The 29-year-old took some time out from his usual literary choices of Friedrich Nietzsche and George Orwell to learn about Warnock in his autobiography.
Given his controversial history and recent row with Wolves’ Karl Henry perhaps Barton is trying to keep in the boss’ good books (no pun intended).
But it appears to be working, as the midfielder is establishing himself as a firm favourite among team-mates, as well as Warnock.
The picture below was taken by fellow new QPR signing Jay Bothroyd, who along with Barton, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Jason Puncheon and DJ Campbell are forming a Twitter crew.
“Da banta is quality!!!!!!!!” said Bothroyd, who looks as if he could do with more reading to improve his spelling.
