White Hart Lane boss to miss Europa League tie.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp was taken to hospital after suffering a health scare at the clu8’s training ground.
The 64-year-old was rushed to A&E yesterday after suffering shortness of breath and dizziness and will undergo surgery later today.
The Spurs boss will now miss his side’s Europa League trip to Russia to play Rubin Kazan.
Redknapp’s men have picked up two wins and a draw from their first three matches, meaning they go into the game top of Group A at the midway stage.
Tottenham have a two-point advantage over PAOK and a three-point gap over tomorrow’s rivals
The north London club confirmed on their website that Redknapp will undergo a medical testing later today, which will see him miss the trip to Russia.
“The club can report that Harry Redknapp is due to undergo a medical procedure this morning and will therefore not travel with the squad to Russia for our Europa League fixture against Rubin Kazan,” the statement read.
“Kevin Bond and Joe Jordan will assume first team responsibilities in Russia in his absence.”
