German giants interested in Old Trafford winger.
Bayern Munich admit they’ve tried to sign Manchester United star Nani.
Bayern have revealed they tried to nick Nani from Old Trafford, but Manchester United priced him out of a move to the German giants.
Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “We had an interest in Nani, but unfortunately the price went up and up, so he was too expensive.”
By all accounts the German giants may look to make another, larger, offer for the Portuguese international after the Allianz Arena side hit a period of poor form that saw Bayern Munich lose two of their last four Bundesliga matches after a run of eight games that brought seven wins and no goals conceded.
Nani has been in fine form this term and has clearly worked hard to put behind him the disappointment at missing out on a place in the Man United starting eleven in the Champions League final in May and the winger is arguably the most consistent attacking weapon Sir Alex Ferguson possesses and therefore any offers for the 25 year old will continue to be turned down.
