FA see sense.
Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill will not be banned after he won his appeal against his sending off at Tottenham at the weekend.
The Football Association have confirmed that the appeal lodged by Bolton has been upheld.
Cahill was dismissed at White Hart Lane following a late tackle on Scott Parker in the early stages of the Premier League clash.
Referee Stuart Attwell decided that Cahill denied Parker a clear goalscoring opportunity, despite the fact that the defender hauled down the 31-year-old some 40 yards from goal when the visitors had plenty of cover.
Now the FA have agreed and Cahill will not serve any suspension.

Well this incident must have been one of the more easier calls for the FA to make given just how shocking Stuart Attwell’s red card was.
Quite how the error prone referee thought that Scott Parker was in a goal-scoring position is hard to fathom. See the video below and judge for yourselves.
