It’s been reported that dramatic new video evidence has been handed to the police that relates to the incident from October 23rd that led to calls of alleged racist remarks being made by Chelsea skipper John Terry to QPR defender Anton Ferdinand.

The video purports to show unseen footage that may well have a crucial part to play in the investigation into the Loftus Road incident and has been handed to the CPS.

The police have interviewed four of Terry’s Chelsea team-mates on the matter – Ashley Cole, John Obi Mikel, Branislav Ivanovic and David Luiz – but none were able to confirm or deny the version of events put forward by the England centre back who has insisted that Ferdinand had shouted “did you just call me a black ****?” and that he was merely answering back “no, I didn’t call you a black ****”.

A decision in the CPS case is expected either today or tomorrow. The results of said investigation would then have a knock on effect onto any further FA enquiry that could in theory lead to a ban or fine for John Terry.
