Loftus Road side chase Craven Cottage contract rebel.
Skysports.com understands Queens Park Rangers are leading the chase for Fulham striker Andrew Johnson.
Johnson’s future at Fulham has been the subject of speculation for some time with the player rejecting a new contract earlier this season.
The 30-year-old current deal expires in the summer and Fulham are ready to offload Johnson in this month’s transfer window rather than risk losing him for nothing.
Blackburn are thought to be keen on the former Everton man, but QPR are hoping to steal a march on their rivals by luring Johnson to Loftus Road.

Given that QPR have hit a patch of poor form, eight games without a win, Neil Warnock would be wise to make a few signings this month and clearly the West London side are struggling for goals of late and a move for Andy Johnson would make a great deal of sense.
The 30 year old has had a good season thus far and is a proven experienced campaigner who could well help keep the Loftus Road side above the drop.
Thus far this season QPR have managed just 19 goals in 20 Premier League matches and Warnock saw first hand what Johnson is capable of as the former Crystal Palace, Birmingham City and Everton man hit a hat-trick against QPR earlier in the season.
