Marek Hamsik preparing for Stamford Bridge or Etihad Stadium move?
Napoli star Marek Hamsik could move clubs this summer, with his agent Mino Raiola revealing that the Slovakian was considering his options.
Manchester City and Chelsea are likely to be at the head of the queue to sign the attacking midfielder, who has been heavily linked with a move to England in recent months.
Hamsik is believed to be contracted until 2015 with the Serie A team, but is in talks about a new deal.
Raiola has his doubts that he will sign though, citing doubts about the quality of football in the long term in Serie A.
“I have my ideas about the renewal of Hamsik,” explained Raiola to Tutto Napoli.
“Marek has not yet signed. The Italian league is becoming poorer, and I’m preparing players for the future.
“If the policy does not change and you have the same stadiums, I see things becoming difficult.”
Hamsik is a highly coveted talent in Napoli’s team, and a vital element in their swift counterattacking football.
Still just 24 years of age, the Slovakia international is already his country’s captain, and led them at their first ever World Cup in South Africa in 2010.
