Ligue 1 bid spenders hope to lure Anfield star to the Parc des Princes.
PSG are said to be readying a big money move for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. L’Equipe have reported that the Ligue 1 big spenders have earmarked a move for the Uruguayan international as Carlo Ancelotti looks to bring in big names to add to his Parc des Princes squad this summer.
Having failed with reported January moves for Man City’s Carlos Tevez and AC Milan youngster Alexandre Pato the French side, fronted by Qatari investors with seemingly limitless wealth, brought in Ancelotti to replace Antoine Kombouaré in the hope that he could help lure world class signings to the Paris side.
The 25 year old has just returned from his eight match ban after being found guilty by the FA of racially abusing Patrice Evra last October, an incident that was further compoounded by the former Ajax striker’s decision to not shake hands with the Man United full back earlier this month. PSG reportedly feel they could take advantage of the Liverpool marksman’s rocky first year in England and persuade him to move to France.
L’Equipe also believe they have a secret weapon in their armoury that could help tempt Suarez into making a move to the French capital and that comes in the form of fellow countryman Diego Lugano, one of the the Liverpool star’s closest friends, who moved to PSG from Fenerbache in August.
Luis Suarez has had a solid year in footballing terms since his move from Ajax, netting 14 goals and assisting another 11 in his first 36 appearances for the Merseyside club.
