Man City Boss Roberto Mancini Linked With Shock Inter Milan Return

Really? Etihad Stadium manager strongly linked with a move back to the San Siro.

ROBERTO Mancini could make a sensational return to Inter Milan in the summer.

Mancini is said to have had a brief conversation with Inter owner Massimo Moratti at the weekend.

Although details of the conversation are unknown, it is thought that Moratti probed him about his future.

Hierarchy at the Manchester City are said to be worried about how quickly Mancini has lost the dressing room.

Mancini is seething following the latest dressing-room bust-up. Mario Balotelli and Yaya Toure came to blows after Manchester City’s title bid went into meltdown at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Tempers flared after the Blues snatched a dramatic late 3-3 draw with Sunderland, which left them two points behind leaders Manchester United.

Perhaps this move would suit all concerned? There are many who believe that Roberto Mancini’s position in post at the Etihad Stadium will become untenable if Man City do not win the title, which is more than a little harsh, and if this does prove the case then a move back to the San Siro makes a great deal of sense.

Inter Milan have struggled over the past couple of seasons, used countless managers, including former Premier League pair Rafa Benitez and Claudio Ranieri, and are now having to turn to the club’s former youth team boss Andrea Stramaccioni who may only be a stop gap.

Mancini had four successful seasons as Nerazzurri boss between the summer of 2004 and 2008, winning the Serie A title three times in the process before Jose Mourinho took over. The Italian may feel a move back to his homeland could be the best option should he be axed at the end of the season.
