Etihad Stadium wants MORE money. Italian believes he needs quartet of new additions in order to challenge for titles.
ROBERTO MANCINI: I NEED FOUR MORE STARS IN £100M SPREE
ROBERTO MANCINI has admitted he still needs four more players with a “strong mentality” to turn Manchester City into Premier League winners.
The City boss has already spent more than £240million on a squad which looks like ending the season without lifting a trophy.
That has put the Italian’s position at the club in doubt – although he has revealed he is already making plans for next season.
And Mancini, while insisting that City’s title challenge isn’t over yet, admits his club have to learn from neighbours United – who seem to be handling their run-in nerves better.
The City boss, 47, said: “Up to now, we have plugged away at building a strong team, so now I think three or four more players with a strong mentality will be enough to finish it.

So there you have it. Roberto Mancini believes he can bring major honours to the Etihad Stadium, he just needs a small fortune to do so.
This isn’t the first time the former Inter Milan boss has complained about his lack of squad depth earlier this season, despite having upwards of 40 players, most of whom are international level stars, so the idea that Mancini needs more players is a little absurd, unless of course he plans to sell before he buys.
One wonders if Mancini will still be in place come the summer, much speculation suggesting that the Man City boss could lose his job if he fails to secure a Premier League title this term.
Having already spent over £240m on his current squad just how much more does Mancini want?
