Etihad Stadium wide-man now a wanted man. Adam Johnson set for Man City departure with Stadium of Light and Goodison Park boss’s both keen.
Roberto Mancini has decided to offload unhappy Manchester City winger Adam Johnson at the end of the season in a move that has sparked immediate interest from Sunderland.
The 24-year old, snapped up from Middlesbrough for £7million two years ago, has grown restless at a lack of starting opportunities and is ready for a fresh start.
Mancini is in no mood to stand in his way, after harbouring doubts over his attitude and willingness to accept defensive responsibility, and will listen to offers.

Adam Johnson is being criminally underused at the Etihad Stadium and that issue does not appear to be set to change any time soon and the England man would do well to consider leaving Man City even if would lead to having to take a significant pay cut.
The 24 year old has started just 10 of the club’s 33 Premier League matches and must surely be unhappy with his lack of impact during Man City’s title chase and interest from his hometown club, Sunderland, and the Toffees may well appeal though the former Middlesbrough man may feel he could leave for another side in the top six.
Both sides could well do with added creativity to help provide ammunition for their strikers and Adam Johnson on his day is a very useful source of goals and assists and Man City may well consider selling for a cut price fee as Roberto Mancini looks to trim his squad back ahead of another big spending summer.
