Royston Drenthe has been impressive during his season long loan at Everton and the move to Goodison Park has become a good shop window for the Dutch international to look to impress prospective suitors and perhaps the direct style of the Real Madrid appeals to Kenny Dalglish who may feel that he needs to bring in further options to add more width to his attack.
Though the 25 year old can play in an advanced central midfield floating role as well at full-back he excels most in a wide attacking role and given that the likes of Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson have struggled for form on their respective wings it may well be a wise move to bring in Drenthe.
The Rotterdam born Real Madrid man reportedly missed yesterday’s Merseyside derby at Wembley over disciplinary matters which would suggest that David Moyes will not look to sign the player on a permanent basis this summer.
Drenthe has notched up four goals and seven assists in the 27 games he has played for the Toffees this term and is likely to leave the Bernabeu this summer after failing to make an impact since his move to the club in August 2007.
