White Hart Lane boss look to offer Old Trafford youngster a Premier League lifeline.
Sky Sports understands Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race for Manchester United starlet Ezekiel Fryers.
Fryers is stalling over a new deal at Old Trafford and he could leave for nothing when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The news has alerted a host of clubs to Fryers’ possible availability in the summer if he fails to agree a new contract.

Having offloaded Ravel Morrison and seemingly still struggling to get Paul Pogba to put pen to paper on a new deal Sir Alex Ferguson now have to decide what to do about the apparent interest in Ezekiel Fryers. The young defender, who can play either at centre back or more commonly at left back, has looked good when called upon but given that he is a few months shy of his 20th birthday the teenager may feel he needs to leave Old Trafford to further his career progression.
Fryers is yet to make his first Premier League start, having managed just 68 minutes of top tier football and Harry Redknapp is very wise to take an interest in the talented young Englishman.
That said, Tottenham already have pretty decent options on the defensive flanks, with Kyle Walker and Benoit Assou-Ekotto being the main options for each side and can also call upon the likes of Gareth Bale (who is now more often used as a winger) and Younes Kaboul (who has done excellently at centre back this term).
This source states that the North London side could net Fryers for nothing but that’s not entirely true as he would be subject to a transfer committee tribunal fee, which admittedly would still be fairly cheap.
