Going nowhere? Etihad Stadium side make laughable valuation of Premier League’s top scorer.
ARSENAL’S hopes of holding on to Player of the Year Robin van Persie have been boosted by the fact Manchester City have valued him at just £20million.
Striker Van Persie last night collected his Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year award to add to his PFA honour, having scored 35 goals in all competitions this season.

To put that figure into some sort of context, Man City spent £24m on Joleon Lescott and £17.5m on Roque Santa Cruz. It’s safe to say that at that price Arsenal will have even less reason to sell their skipper, a decision they would probably never consider even if the Dutch international did opt to not sign a new contract this summer.
Man City have of course made a habit of nabbing Gunners stars having brought in the likes of Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Adebayor, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy in recent seasons.
