WEST HAM boss Sam Allardyce wants QPR bad boy Joey Barton to join him at Upton Park.
The Rangers skipper was banned for 12 games and fined £75,000 following his red-card show at Man City on the final day of the season.

This is surprising news. That any side would be keen on a player who will sit out almost a third of the season is shocking to say the least and then when you factor in Joey Barton’s questionable form and temperament, such a move seems all the more odd.
Perhaps Sam Allardyce feels he can rein in the former Man City and Newcastle United man, a feeling other managers have no doubt felt, and if the player can be picked up for free then perhaps a deal is on the cards. However would QPR be willing to offload the 29 year old after his Man City meltdown?
Barton has decided to not contest the FA ban he was handed following his Etihad Stadium antics and Mark Hughes must now decide if it’s worth keeping the player at the club after the latest in a long line of incidents that show the midfielder to be something of a loose cannon.
Joey Barton played 26 games for QPR last term after arriving on a free transfer last August.
